Denayer Beyers architects stands for locally sourced, sustainable and ecological architecture.

We approach each design assignment from a research perspective with a focus on innovation and resourcefulness. Today our main focus lies on new housing forms, such as tiny houses and co-housing, wherein functions can be shared, combined or reinterpreted. We work in (sub-)urban areas as well as in rural areas, where we try to incorporate nature into the designs to maximise the ecosystem services it provides.

Our projects may differ in scale but the foundation is always based upon sustainable strategies. With every project we analyse what is already there, to determine what is needed. By studying the site, the parameters that give form to the design become clear. This allows us to integrate sustainable ideas, such as orientations, materialisation and life-cycle assessment, from the first sketch.

To keep up to date we keep questioning and improving our methods and ideas. This translated for example into a postgraduate in Bio-Ecological Design (VIBE) and our own research (Urban Agriculture, CLT, Rammed Earth-workshops, ...).

We always work in close collaboration with the client to ensure a personal approach.

We look forward to new challenges.
